In a bid to make the school bus service more efficient, Bus Éireann has made some changes to the bus routes to and from Castlecomer Community School.

Bus Éireann has asked us to put the bus route information on our website.

Your child’s route number will be on their Bus Ticket.

The school does not have timetables for the buses. Times are not expected to differ greatly from last year.

We have been asked to advise parents that it is expected that there may be teething problems with some of the changes for the first two or three days.

Bus Éireann would appreciate the patience of the students and parents for the first week.

It might be necessary to change a small number of students from one route to another in order to make it more convenient for the families concerned.

Please note that the school neither devises the bus routes nor make changes to the routes.

Any enquiries must be made to Bus Éireann in Waterford

Wellread Programme

We are delighted to announce that we have received the "wellread" award, an initiative designed and organised by the Professional Development Service for Teachers (PDST). It aims to create heightened awareness about the importance of creating a culture of reading in school communities for our young people as part of their personal and academic development. The school community is now recognised nationally as a school that promotes and encourages a culture of reading.

You can read more about the award on the PDST website by clicking here, and you can find out more about our school initiatives under the "extra-curricular" tab above.
