Link Modules/LCVP
The LCVP is a programme with a focus on enterprise and preparation for working life. This two-year programme combines the academic strengths of the Leaving Certificate with a dynamic focus on self-directed learning, enterprise, work and the community.
Key Points:
LCVP is available to all 5th Year Students
LCVP may be counted as one of the six subjects when calculating CAO points.
Work Experience
Every Link Modules Student completes three days' work experience. Each student then completes a work experience diary on their work experience for one of their portfolio items
Exam Structure
Portfolio of Coursework – 60% of total marks
It consists of various elements such as a CV, Career Investigation and a Diary of Work Experience.
Date due: 1st Wednesday of March in 6th Year
Examination Paper - 40%
Date: 1st Wednesday of May in 6th Year
- Duration: Two and a half hours
- Section A: Audio-Visual
- Section B: Case Study
- Section C: General Questions

Our 5th Year Students on their Enterprise Education visit to Waterford Glass, Co Waterford.
They completed a Summary Report on the Factory Tour as part of their LCVP Portfolio.
